Hello! It’s so nice to meet you!
On stage - Product Tank London, 2019
My name is Bea (or Bee) Barker, I’m a product coach and product leader living in Brighton, UK.
I spent the last decade working as a product leader in various industries. During this time I created multiple training programs, led product transformations and worked alongside many talented product managers and teams.
I’m a Mind The Product trainer and MTP workshop author, working with more than 100 product people each year through these courses.
In 2022 I created and launched a new Product Leadership training with Mind The Product.
Product conversations with Marty Cagan, 2016
As a product leader I worked with global companies, such as GlaxoSmithKline, Emarsys (now an SAP company) or The Access Group.
Most recently I was the Product Director at Teach Your Monster, leading the transformation from one product to a multi-product organisation, supporting the executive director in adopting new practices such as OKRs and helping the teams launch two fantastic mobile apps in the early years education market.
Actively working as a product practitioner helps me stay connected to the day-to-days of working in product management, and allows me to continuously refine my product playbooks in various areas, including
sustainable dual-track agile practices
professional development frameworks
training cross-functional teams and product people
single product and portfolio strategies, finding PMF
go to market and pricing strategies
The first graduates of the Emarsys Product Academy, 2017
As a trainer, mentor and coach I’ve worked with hundreds of product managers and more than 35 companies across the UK, US and Europe.
In my consulting and coaching practice I use a holistic approach to establish new ways of working to reinforce alignment and collaboration across the whole organisation.
I focus on improving the product development culture and increase the impact of product teams.
I firmly believe that successful transformation requires a multi-layered approach: individual and team skill development, cultivating new ways of working, shifting mindsets and enabling meaningful goal setting.
